Marine Collagen ehf was founded by Codland ehf specialising in increasing the value of underutilized sidestreams from the fisher sector. They produce wild fish collagen and sea gelatin. The Icelandic marine collagen codlagen was isolated from the skins of the North Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua). Today the company is also owned by four of the largest benthic fisheries in Iceland who are bringing their resources, knowledge and experience to ensure the success of this new venture.
