Südzucker AG is an international group of companies that was founded in 1926. With its sugar, specialities, starch and fruit segments, it is an important company in the food industry, and with its CropEnergies segment it is Europe's leading producer of ethanol. It employs 17,900 people and produces around 3.7 million tonnes of sugar.
