Kalle develops and produces artificial sausage casings. As a pioneer and the world's leading company, they have played a decisive role in shaping the development of the meat industry - for over 150 years.

With 16 sites in 9 countries, in addition to a broad network of local representation in nearly 100 countries, the Kalle Group serves their global and local customers. The headquarters in Wiesbaden are home to the administrative offices, production facilities and the all-important R&D department.

In addition to Wiesbaden, the Kalle Group has the following production sites in Germany: Bersenbrück, Georgsmarienhütte, Landau and Schwaan. Internationally, the company has facilities in Austria, Chile, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, the UK and the United States.

the Kalle Group can trace its roots back to the middle of the 19th century. Founded as a chemical factory for the production of paint, the company later moved into natural and synthetic fibers.

Industrially manufactured sausage casings in the form of value-added casings, viscose casings, polymer casings and nets are Kalle's core business. In addition to this core expertise, the Wiesbaden-based company produces sponge cloths, functional food ingredients and a range of other products for the meat sector and other protein-processing industries.
