ArNoCo GmbH & Co. KG is a joint venture between the dairy cooperatives DMK GROUP (Deutsches Milchkontor GmbH) and Arla Foods, which was founded in 2011. ArNoCo processes the whey obtained during DMK cheese production into whey protein concentrate and lactose. ArNoCo employs 40 people at the Nordhackstedt site and annually processes 700,000 tons of sweet whey into around 12,000 tons of whey protein concentrate and 25,000 tons of lactose for the international food industry.
