In 1920, two bakers at a small donut bakery in Jackson, Michigan, started America's first mix company: the Dawn Donut Company. In honor of the baker's trade, the owner family Jones named their company after the time of day at which the baker begins his daily work, Dawn. By merging with Unifine Food & Bake Ingredients in 2011, Dawn expanded its American baking expertise to include traditional European brands.

With over 4,000 items in the range, they contribute to the success of bakeries worldwide every day. Their team consists of 5,000 employees in 105 countries who are passionate about the bakery industry and sweet baked goods.
